Final Fantasy Football 2015/16 Update

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015Here is the final report on the Fantasy Football 2015/16 season. The last 8th Update reported up to gameweek 30. The season has now come to an end (38 gameweeks). The lack of a report in between is simply due to my campaign spectacularly crashing. My original mission in taking the title was a failure with my final league position being 5th that means that I have essentially become the Stoke City of the group! I’m not going to bother adding screenshots for each week as am still pretty annoyed by the crash. I’ll just add some views on where it all went wrong. Let’s begin with the points (+points on bench) scored for each gameweek.

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 8)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015In the past 7th Update gameweek 25 had just played out that was notable for its season high of 97 points. Today, we’ll run through G26, G27, G28, G29 and G30. This period hasn’t been a good one, especially G30 where a big gamble went to pot. There has been a recent issue with postponed matches, top players losing form and it never helps when the captain doesn’t score well. There are still opportunities ahead, but it is getting to that stage where huge gains need to be made. We could really do with hitting a few scores in the 90s. As always, we’ll begin with the historic data. The points scored on bench are noted in brackets.

10,000 BC (Two Tribes): Was It Double the Fun?

Random Rants Submission:
10,000 BC (Two Tribes)10,000 BC’s Opening Season was lots of fun. It started of the 2015 year well and we even queried it as the best new reality show. At the turn of the 2016 year we started to see Channel 5’s promo ads for its upcoming return. 10,000 BC: Two Tribes would pit together 24 modern-day Brits trying to survive 2 months in the wilderness. The focus this time around was more directed at the relationship between each camp rather than the element of survival. The same freezing Bulgarian location was used (between October and December) and we were again welcomed by the excellent survival expert Klint Janulis (deserves his own show).

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 7)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015Update 6 took us up to gameweek 20. The ongoing frequency will be every 5 games and so today the results are shared up to 25. In the closing last submission a major overhaul was put through on my 2nd Wildcard (you get 2 of these each season). As you will see below, things haven’t gone to plan and I dropped a league position down to 3rd place. It did look like the Championship hunt was over, but fortunately G25 was the standout day of the season that has put me back on track. As always, we’ll run through the complete history below. The point bench tally is marked in brackets.

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 6)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015The 5th Update had covered up to gameweek 15. The number that has now passed is 20. All of those fitted in between are being covered today. The reason for the break has been the busy Christmas period when there was plenty of games running between then and a few days into the New Year. In the last update the aim was set to rank at the top of the league for the start of 2016. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened! Still stuck in 2nd, but moving forward, have just used my new Wildcard that should make things more interesting. Before running through each week, let’s look at the historic scores (plus the latest). Points in bench are marked in brackets.

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 5)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015Time for a quick update on the Fantasy Football. The past 4th Update saw me stuck in the 2nd spot and there has been no change on that front. General performance hasn’t been that great and this will need to change towards the end of the month and into the New Year. Within the space of a week I think there’s 3 games and so there is plenty of opportunity to notch up tons of points. With this in mind, it’ll be important to get the squad in the right shape before then. As always we’ll begin with historic scores earned to date with the points on bench marked besides in brackets.

2015’s F1 Season Concludes: What Can Haas Bring in 2016?

Random Rants Submission:
2015's F1 Season Concludes. What Can Haas Bring in 2016Last Sunday the lights went down on 2015’s F1 season. In the Last Update Here, Lewis Hamilton was pretty close to sealing the Championship. He managed to do this with a few races left, but otherwise there really hasn’t been much to discuss. It hasn’t been an enjoyable sport to follow this year and we can only hope that things change in 2016. You have to sing praise to Lewis Hamilton who enjoyed one of his greatest seasons and now has 3 titles with many more potentially up for grabs. The Champ won’t however be overly happy with how this year ended that saw Nico Rosberg winning the final 3 GPs to close up the scorecard.

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 4)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015My pursuit for glory hasn’t quite gone to plan in the opening months. Past performance was documented here (#1, #2 and #3). Today the 4th round of results will be discussed that includes gameweeks 10, 11 and 12. Of this trio, gameweek 11 saw 81 points recorded that has been the best score to date. The other 2 were average, but overall I have climbed up to the 2nd spot. I’ll add multiple screenshots below showing each starting 11 played. When you see red on a player this means they are injured or suspended in the most recent gameweek rather than that day. Points on Bench is marked in brackets.

Fantasy Football 2015 (Update 3)

Random Rants Submission:
Prem Fantasy Football 2015The previous posts (#1 and #2) covered the starting 6 gameweeks. Another 3 has now passed and so it’s time for another update. Things really haven’t been going well recently. Both G7 and G8 were pretty hellish whilst G9 saw an improvement after a few changes were made. The big kicker has really been the drop in league positions whereby I’ve fallen down to 4th place having previously been quite comfortable in the 2nd spot. The 2 new managers have fluked huge scoring matchdays, but my own team hasn’t performed well. Here are the past and latest scores joined by Points on Bench in brackets. The highest scoring player is noted as well as info on transfers.

WordPress Login Error Begins: 8 Hours Later…

Random Rants Submission:
WordPress Login ErrorI have a habit of getting into bizarre sleeping patterns at the moment whereby I’ll work straight through the night and then zonk out during the day time. Have always been nocturnal and at the same time I tend to get more done when there are no disturbances around me. Anyway, yesterday I woke up at around 6pm and was hopeful that It’d be a super-production night/day. There is a new plugin that I needed to add to one of my older sites and so I logged in hoping to get the task completed within just a few minutes. Who would have thought that I was at the very beginning of a hellish WordPress clusterfuck.
